THE BLUE MIRROR PROJECT | 20 Images
We look into mirrors to see ourselves. But when I give people my blue mirror, I ask that they look not at themselves but at my face instead. Thus my mirror becomes a way of communicating not with self but with another. For me as photographer, this project gives me permission to do something I've always wanted to do: go up and talk to strangers wherever I go. Very few people have ever turned me down.
The edit shown here features a selection of photos I took during visits to New York City, Burlington, VT, Ann Arbor, MI, and back home in Detroit and environs.
